Dear Friends of Centerforce,
In 2022-2023 we saw services returning to a more normal level and an increase in the number of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities we were able to assist. Labor shortages continued, which was a positive for services. More and more employers were able to diversify their workforces by hiring and including those with disabilities.
Our organization, like many others, continued to experience the same labor shortage challenge, as well as increased expenses simply as the cost of providing services. We increased our service in Thurston County, working with a number of high school students to become work ready and obtain employment upon graduation.
Our Board of Directors actively engaged in an annual fundraising event, to assist with uncompensated service expenses. In spite of the challenges, true to how nonprofit organizations work, our employees rose to the occasion and continued to provide high quality employment and community inclusion services to our clients. Individuals and their families have expressed a high degree of satisfaction with our services.
I’d like to recognize the commitment of our Board of Directors for sharing their time and talents to support our mission, as well as our committed and very hardworking employees who continued working and supporting our clients through all the challenges of the year and our Board of Directors, who provided their input, guidance and support.
Thank you for your continued support,
Debby L. Graham, M.A
